In this webinar, Ricky Kriete joins Diana Clark for a Collegial Conversation discussing the meaning of attachment disorders, how we all battle attachment and tips for recognizing and coping with attachment disorders.
About the Guest: Ricky is a psychotherapist and consultant who maintains a full-time private practice in New York City. He has been practicing various forms of attachment-oriented experiential dynamic therapy like Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, EMDR, and Clinical Hypnosis. Ricky helps clients heal from attachment trauma and has a particular interest in working with survivors of interpersonal violence presenting with personality spectrum disorders and dissociative disorders, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).
Ricky specializes in treating clients who have experienced multiple failed therapies and treatment non-response. Ricky is also a consultant offering individualized supervision to therapists around the world training in experiential forms of psychotherapy. He maintains a professional affiliation to the International Society for the Study of Trauma & Dissociation (ISSTD) where he serves as Co-Chair of the Students & Emerging Professionals Committee.
In 2020 Ricky was granted the ISSTD’s President’s Award for his outstanding service to the organization and community. Ricky is a native of El Salvador. He is fluent in Spanish and a passionate advocate for making psychotherapy available to marginalized communities. More than anything Ricky has a deep curiosity for the work, a passion for helping people heal, and a deep respect for the people he serves.
